I’ve come to find over the past couple years that diet and religion have a lot in common. Many adherents to a particular diet will often tout theirs as “the one true diet,” when, as my nutritionist puts it, “nutrition is still a young science.” There is clearly a good deal of misinformation out there, exacerbated by groupthink, placebo affect, and anecdotal evidence. This isn’t to say that there aren’t healthy ways to eat, but that maybe a bit more exploration is in order before jumping to such strong conclusions.
I am not an expert in this field, so take what I have to say with a grain of salt (see what I did there?) Find what works for you.
